For Professionals
We offer a range of support to professionals that work with children and families including local authorities, charities and private sector organisations. Our training and consultation packages offer regular input to organisations as well as our tailor made training for staff teams.
Elaine and Anna are experienced supervisors who have supervised a range of other professionals as well as other psychologists. They have both completed post doctorate supervisor training and can offer 1:1 or team based supervision to organisations such as schools or local authorities.

Nurturing Attachments Training:
At Nurture Psychology we have over 10 years experience of delivering the Nurturing Attachments Training (developed by Dr. Kim Golding, Clinical Psychologist) to adoptive parents, special guardian carers and foster carers.

Psychological Assessments and therapeutic interventions:
We complete full systemic psychological assessments to aid professionals to better understand the needs of the child/family you are working with, resulting in clear advice and recommendations. Assessments and interventions can be directly commissioned by local authorities or via the Adoption Support Fund. We are already a registered provider across the North West of England. Please get in touch if you would like more information.
Consultation and supervision:
Nurture Psychology offer 'one off' or a 'series' of consultations regarding children and young people you are working with. We also offer other psychologists as well as non psychologist supervision sessions.
We regularly provide consultation and reflective staff support to colleagues in the residential care sector. These consultations can focus on building the staff teams understanding of a child (formulation), support around making sense of incidents in the home, planning for children to move in or transitions out of the home as well as ongoing thinking around progress and the needs of the child. We also provide reflective sessions for staff teams to think about their work and the impact on them professionally and personally.
Reflective Groups:
Nurture Psychology can support teams offering a reflective space in which to unpick and understand the impact of some of your work as a team. Teams can include practices such as mindfulness as part of their sessions. These groups are excellent for taking care of your work force's mental wellbeing.
